To All of Our Customers, Friends, and Families of Hill’s Harvest

It is with great sadness and disappointment that Hill’s Harvest will not be opening this season. Because of Helen’s passing last year and due to unforeseen circumstances, this difficult decision had to be made.

Over the last 20 seasons, Helen and I both enjoyed providing a service to our community, never dreaming that it would grow to the extent that it did. We started out in very humble beginnings the first year, a tarp propped up by 2x4’s and ice chests to keep everything cool, from there we expanded to the store that we have had the ten year few years.

Over the years, both of us made many friends some of which became lasting friendships. There are so many things that I am going to miss, talking to customers that have been coming for years and their families. I have seen 5 generations come to the farm and take pictures and pick pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. Helping a grandfather pick the largest pumpkin we had so he could carve it out and take a picture of his 6 weeks old grandson in it. All of the groups of special needs adults and children, the numerous day care centers in the area coming to pick pumpkins and going on hayrides. Answering all the questions that you had about the products we sold and about canning which was Helen’s forte.

On behalf of Helen, her son, Jake who sprung this on us 20 years ago and myself; thank you to all of our loyal customers, friends, neighbors, our families and employees without you there would not be a Hill’s Harvest.

Hopefully, in the near future we will be able to find a new venue. Therefore, we will not be taking down our website Hillsharvest.net. If you have any questions and are looking for salsa, pickles peaches, or whatever, please call 303-882-0488 or e-mail us at hillsharvest@aol.com.

This is not a farewell,

Judy
